Since 1806, Toiles de Mayenne has asserted French know-how in the creation and manufacture of fabrics in Fontaine-Daniel, in Mayenne.

A spinning mill and a weaving workshop were created in the village and developed over time. In 1812, they employed 760 spinners and weavers, until today when the company has a hundred employees. The brand "Toiles de Mayenne" has been registered and protected since 1952.
The company is now managed by Jérôme Couasnon, since 2018.
